Is Mitt Romney too rich to become the most powerful man in the world?

Mitt Romney, the leading Republican candidate for the 2012 US Presidential election, has a net worth of roughly 200-250 million dollars. If you were to add up the wealth of the last eight presidents, from Richard Nixon to Barack Obama, then double that number, and that is a ballpark figure close to 200-250 million. Thus if elected president, he would place somewhere among the top 4 richest Presidents ever. Does Mitt Romney's wealth prove he is a successful business man and the right candidate to bring the US out of a recession? Or is his wealth the flagship of the US economy: the decline of the lower and middle class, and the funneling of wealth to the 1 percent? What is your opinion?

I think Romney will be elected as the alternatives are not that great either. Hopefully, he will apply his money making skills to the country's economy and everyone will be better off four years from now. We will see...
